Donovan loves to read his books.

Big belly.

I didn't know he had a birthmark for a few weeks.

Dad was tired and took a mini nap at lunch.

Holding hands.

Swimming lessons.

D loved Miss Tana.

More swimming lessons.

New baby burro joined the club.

Climber.  He's willing to risk anything to get some candy.

Baby with hair loss.  Silly Dono smile.

{June 20something}

Our friends Spencer, Taylor,

Logynn and Sawyer came to visit.

We love having visitors.

We took a stroll around the lake.

Randy and I went to High School

{Well Randy grew up three doors down from S}

with Spencer and so it was a crazy moment

to see both daddys pushing their babies.

Donovan adores Logynn

and is always trying to hold her hand.

coronado ward

{June 18}

A lot of Moms from our LDS ward came

to Spring Mountain.

I was anxious to meet and greet with them.

As soon as I saw some familiar faces

my nerves flew out the window.

It was nice to chat with women who had the same values

and goals for their children.

Recently we had some ward boundary changes

and it's rocked my world a little bit.

We haven't been very consistent with

our Vegas attendance

but when we're back in November I know it will

be a big change for us.

I love these women and their sweet smiles

that make me feel good.

I know that sounds so simple

but it was a great strength especially in a time

where I was learning how to be a

mother of two.

father's day

{June 17}

Especially since we are away from our Daddy

we realize how special he is.

I loved celebrating Randy.

He was sitting with Donovan so sweetly

on his lap-while they were watching a hunting show.

Then Dono picked his nose and wiped it on Randy's arm.

Randy didn't even flinch.

What a good Daddy.

Thanks for being such a hard worker

for our future.

We love you.

Donovan's second birthday was low key.

We were trying to teach him how to answer, 'two'

when people asked him his age.

So we came up with the idea to say scissors.

It's worked out so far.

{I just asked him and he proudly said, 'two!'

He really has gotten a lot softer 

and considerate of Charlie.

He loves to climb and often makes

my heart skip a beat when I turn around and he's

on top of things.

DJ&Rachel&Henry showed up on their way

home from the lake.  

It was such a nice surpirse.

They boys played and played until they both zoned out.

It was the latest Donovan had ever stayed up :: 10:30.

Party animal.

jessop & izzy

{June 14-17}

Jessop and Lindsey {Izzy} came to visit.

We showed them around the lake

and saw some burros.

Jessop is such a good sport when playing with Dono.

He climbed into the cardboard hut

played cars and playdough.

He even got Charlie to giggle.

We went swimming at their hotel.

Donovan was a little apprehensive

but really liked the attention.

Charlie was a good little baby.

Dono got out of the pool and ran under the table.

I think the conversation went something like,

Me: Are you going peepee?

Dono: Nope. Poop.

It was hilarious.

Izzy was willing to carry Donovan anytime.

And he knew it.

He was obsessed with her glasses.

We watched movies and laughed a lot.

We ate huge skookies.  

Cookie dough + skillet + ice cream.

We enjoyed having visitors and

can't wait until they come back!

{June 13}

The Wednesday before Donovan's birthday

my family drove from St. George to celebrate.

We went to Cheesecake Factory

and then opened presents.

Dono's favorite was the hats-

to this day when he hears about a party he says,

'get out the hats!'

A birthday tradition we copied was to 

blow up some balloons and put them on the floor

of his room so when he woke up

it would be special.

Loved. it.
