chicken nuggets

Happy Last Day of USU Classes!

This past semester Randy & Prana
have been working on a study on olfactory predators.
Prana loves it because they throw a ckn nugget into a field
and see how long it takes him to find it with his nose.
The first time it took about 3 minutes to locate the nugget.
Second time: 14 seconds
It's been fun to go once a week and see the progression of Prana's sniffer.
And see how much the wind affects the whole process.

We've loved our first year at Utah State.
I look back and we really have had fun adventures.
We've met lots of great people and made some lovely friends.

brother tank.

We had Tank come to visit this week.
Prana LOVES a romp with his brother.
Who doesn't love playing around with their brother?
Mine comes home in just 4 weeks!

mr. snow came back to visit.

I was thoroughly enjoying the warm sunshine
when Snow decided to show up.
It has mostly melted away.

I hear that it's supposed to stick around all week.
Booo.

little upgrades. and downgrades.

Upgrade: curtains!
They make our house look SO much friendlier.
When my Mom came to visit
she said we treated her like Cinderella
ironing and ironing
the curtains.

She was a great sport to spend her time helping us with curtains.
Prana thought the curtains were fun to hide in.
Downgrade: the fish tank broke.
While the fish were still living in it.
We're not really sure how the hole happened,
but all of a sudden water just started spewing out.
I think a little fish even got sucked out.
The leftover fish are currently living in a bucket.
We're debating on if we want to get another one . . .
since we'll be kicking it for most of the summer
at the family cabin.

As in we're going to be living in the mountains for summer '10.
I'm hoping to have our little boy in Logan
not Evanston-but we'll just have to play that one by ear ;)

p-ran

We love him.
We adore him.
We spoil him.

He cracks us up with his goofiness.
He recently discovered rivers and water.
I think we've got a future water-lover on our hands.
He's grown out of his little sweaters.
It was a sad day for me.

He was so happy to be free.
Prana loves to cuddle with his Dad.
Especially as my belly gets bigger. And bigger.
He still is-and forever will be-my nap partner.
He has killed several toys.
I don't know why but he LOVES the fluff inside of them.
It's like his cotton candy.
He's really good at taking baths.
Like I said, he doesn't hate water.
He loves to run in the desert.
And would run with Buddy and Buster anywhere.
When we come home from playing with friends
-Buddy
-Buster
-Trudy
-Jacob
-Mya
-Will
he is wiped out for the next few days.
Recently he got his own bed right by the vent.
He sleeps there at night.
Sleeps all through the night.

We're so lucky.
I just discovered he likes frisbee.
He's really great at bringing it back for continuous fun!
Last week he got bitten on the nose by a rock chuck.
It's already healing up.
When we take naps lately
I wake up with his arm around my shoulder.

Randy came home from school and found us snuggling.
I am so glad this little guy came to our family.
He's been so entertaining and therapeutic.

enjoying the sunshine.

We love Green Canyon.
My round belly. Prana. Randy.
He LOVES running along while we ride.
Shadows.
Riding up on campus.
It seems like we've had a late start to Spring. . .
but we're finally getting some green.
We're hoping to go camping this weekend.
There have been rumors of starting the VW van up :)

i love my gallegos gals.

I think I am the luckiest girl in the world.
My Mom and her sisters.
The one with me in it turned out super blurry.
We had a party last Saturday.
And the food was incredible.
{Thank you}
I have been craving carrots lately
so this was a welcome sight.
And Randy will attest-that carrots aren't really my favorite.
My beautiful mother
'getting her shoulder stonger'
by holding little Addi.
My extremely generous Aunt Mary.
Cute cousins Brooke and Kendra.
You two are lovely.
Family tradition states that with any celebration which includes balloons
we send them up to Kenzie
with our thoughts and love.

And oh, how we love her!

I truly do feel that she has blessed so many lives.
She is an inspiration to all.
Especially me.
This photo is the babies giving each other hi-fives.
The flowers were great.
And did I mention how awesome the food was?
I am kinda bummed I didn't get many more pictures,
but it's hard to take them while having a good time.

I was sad I didn't get pictures of
hot Bybes
fantastic Auntie Becky
surprise visit Aunt Maggie
best-hugs-in-the-world Aunt Mona
and cute K&K.

Cortney and I kept joking that our boys
are going to have no problems
with finding cute outfits to get dressed in.
I'm excited to show some of them off---in just a few weeks!

{THANK YOU}
to all the mothers and aunts and lady cousins.
Once again, I am so so grateful
to have such
a rich heritage
in my Gallegos gals.

showing off the hot bod.

I love my belly.

Little one has been kicking in large grand motions.
It's fun to watch my belly
shake like a bowl of jelly.

I am ever amazed at how wonderful
and creative our bodies are.

baby animal days!

When we came up last year to check out Logan
they were having the baby animal days festival.

I've had a countdown ever since.

This year it was rumor that they were going to have baby BEARS!
So we went there first.
I think we were the only couple there without any children.
There were three boys.
Cute as can be!
I think they were the only baby animal
we didn't get to touch or hold.
Lame.
We went on a train ride.
And got to squeeze little piggys.
Little cows.
And small pony babies.
This little guy was prancing all over the place.
I was in heaven.
Little honey bunnies.
They fit into the palm of my hand.
This goat thought his mom was a mountain.
I thought this one was going to fall over
she was leaning into my hand so hard.
Little horns were starting to grow.
The goats seemed extra tiny.
Which always means extra cute.
And soft fluffy ducklings.
As we were going to get some food
we ran into these three.
They thought their snakey friend was super rad.
{Thank you}
for nature.

{Thank you}
for spring.

{Thank you}
for babies.

Randy kept saying how next year we'd have our own little baby.
Crazy to think about.
