Dr. Pepper Ribs, Dad and the dogs.

I saw an awesome recipe for DP ribs a long time ago.
I never really had the guts to try it out, until this weekend.
They were melt in your mouth delicious. My parents came to visit us this weekend.
They are wonderful guests and can visit anytime.
And they brought Buddy and Buster.
Love them.
It is bona-fide Fall here, what about you?

Homecoming Parade

This weekend we saw a parade
down Main Street.
Loved the tootsie rolls being thrown at us.
And Randy caught 2 frisbees.
Let's go play some ultimate.
And all of the young kids dancing and singing.
We drove to the Farmer's Market afterwards
on the scoot-scoot.
These cute kids were selling fire starters.
Pine-cones.
Adorable.
The produce was fantastic. I love the bright colors.
This weekend was much loved and needed.
I have been working long crazy hours.
I can't wait until next weekend!

Three PT jobs. . .

So some exciting news.
{No, not that kind}

I have 2 new jobs!
I am now
employed by IHC
working as a Recreation Therapist
in the Behavioral Health Unit.
And I'll be Dispatching for Logan City.

Sadly the season for the Ropes Course is soon
coming to an end.
I have loved this job immensely.
Playing all day in the sun
and working on my lovely chaco lines.

I wish we could play at the Ropes Course all year long!

Nightly Walks

Randy and I enjoy walking around 'the island'
as often as we can.
Tonight we saw two little girls
and one of them ran up to us
and said,
'Hey, do we know you?'

Randy was sweet and said, 'Nah, but nice to meet you.'

She ran back to her friend and then came running back
and said,
'Are you nice or mean?'
We laughed and both said, 'Nice.'

It was pretty funny.
{Are you nice or mean?}

STG

So I think I'm finally adjusting back to Logan.
We went home for almost a week!
Loads of family & family & more family!
I forgot my camera there, so this will be a picture-less post.

Randy's brother Joe got married to Sue on 9/9/09.
Silly Joe said it was now or wait until 10/10/10.
They are a lovely couple.

I got to see
Garret.
Quin, Brittany and Briley.
Spencer, Taylor and Logan.
Merrijane, Chuck, Star, Dane, Lucas, Vincent.
Bob, Carma, Buddy and Buster.
Grandma LaRue and Uncle Eddie.
Billy and Denis.
I'm positive I'm forgetting someone.
Sarah, Chad, Dade, and Riley.
Nina, Cody and Kyle.
Paul, Cymbre, Aubri, Dillon and Jennica.
Uncle Matt & girls.
but I sure missed these guys.

We swam, watched movies, ate good food
helped with wedding things,
ate more good food,
went to the dentist-twice
and walked the dogs a bunch.

I wish it wasn't 6 hours away.
I would go home all of the time.
I love you St. George.
{not your heat}
{mostly the family & friends I find there}

reduce. reuse. recycle.

Yesterday I stumbled upon this article.
and couldn't stop thinking about this door.
It is made of the bottom of wine bottles.
I love how you can take something with a little life still in it
and turn it into something spectacular!
This ceiling is made of all used samples.
My favorite part of the article,
is when the builder, Dan Phillips, says
“Look at kids playing with blocks,”
he said. “I think it’s in everyone’s DNA to want to be a builder.”

I would be smitten with a tree-house.
LOVE IT.

i love boaz.

happy happy two weeks old!
this is the cutest little guy i've ever met.
i think about him all of the time.
he's wonderful.

proud parents: sienna & tony dittmer.

pineview stadium 10

Have you seen this yet?

Emily introduced me to this review,
and it fueled my desire to see the film.
Randy came with my Mom and I.
I swear he was the only guy in the whole theater.
Afterwards we were starving-
so we went home and made tortillas
with chile verde pork.

So delicious.

via here.

I have been craving artichokes,
and when Julie
made artichokes with hollandaise sauce,
I was drooling on my seat.
Just thinking about it now. . .

What's for lunch?

Going for a W

i LOVE going on walks with my dogs when i'm home.

there is something about them running
and jumping through the fields
that makes me feel so alive.

last night we added a few to the mix which made it an adventure.
there was a whippet, 3 jack russells, and a mutt.

are you a dog person?

lifted by others. . .

i still get bummed,
when i think about it
but this morning i am soooo looking forward

to hanging out with family,
playing with friends,
swimming,
biking,
eating good food,
and laughing a LOT.

feeling depressed . . .

something that i didn't want to even get near
the deleted section of my computer
somehow went there.
it makes me sad.

Back to School

Randy started school last week.
I'm so proud of every one going back to school.
I took Randy lunch today
and it felt like everyone knew I was an impostor:
NOT-a-STUDENT.

Good thing I was only on campus for 30 minutes :)
